Wagner Falls in Spring

Wagner Falls in Munising, Michigan is a picturesque waterfall nestled in a forest of pine and hemlock trees. With the fallen logs and assortment of shrubs, grasses, and flowers, it feels truly natural, as if you are stumbling upon some accidental beauty in the middle of nowhere.

Fortunately for those wishing to view the falls, getting there is actually quite easy as there is a parking lot and short 0.1 mile boardwalk leading directly to it.

I was fortunate enough that on my first visit (when I took this photo), it was not too busy. Perhaps the pandemic had kept everyone indoors still.

I love how the water gradually descends through a series of steppes, and eventually flows away over a rocky bed. The water shines white in the falls and even takes on a slightly blueish tone as it flows away.
