Celestial Joshua Tree
Joshua Tree National park is a truly otherworldly place that absolutely must be experienced after dark. There is relatively little light polution and, if you’re lucky, you can capture a photo of a bizarre Joshua tree just with a backdrop of the starry sky.
The best way to do this would be to get a camping site overnight in the park. Since it was my first time, I was not aware and only went for the day. Fortunately, I was allowed to stay past dark and spend a few minutes taking pictures of the trees near the road.
For this one, I used the headlights of my car to illuminate the nearest tree. A long exposure then captured the stars and even a shooting star!
